Private Carrier Options

Get private Flood Insurance
The standards of a flood insurance policy have always been strict and comprehensive as set by the National Flood Insurance Program. Private flood policies were not always accepted to be backed by federal mortgage loans. So, despite private carriers having the ability and knowledge to write flood policies, the money could only come as a result of a federal loan (at a singular rate)…. Until recently!

Within the last decade, the NFIP has allowed private carriers (that we work with) to accept loans from federally backed mortgage lenders. As a result, our agents can provide you with competitive rates from multiple A-rated carriers. Zoning districts, policy standards, and premium costs change drastically from year to year. This is because private-based flood policies are based from a fluctuating market. Work with an agent who will take the time to get to know you!

National Flood Insurance Program

With most flood insurance claims coming within low risk zones, we believe it is important for every citizen to have access to affordable and reliable flood insurance options. The NFIP wants you to have flood insurance as well, and we can take care of your needs no matter where you live.

Unlike most policies you may be covered under, (such as home & auto) flood insurance offered through the NFIP is the same price, regardless of where you live or what agency you work with. The only way to obtain flood insurance is through an agent, not directly through NFIP, so we have made the process to get quoted and insured easy for you!
The National Flood insurance Program was established in 1968.

Excess Flood Insurance

For When You Need a Bit More Coverage Than The Rest.
Excess flood insurance provides relief beyond the limits of your primary policy - written through NFIP or a private carrier. This policy would cover you for the same type of damage and costs that are covered under the usual NFIP policy. Excess flood coverage could also pay to replace your personal items such as clothing, electronics, and furniture that may have been lost in a flood.

The market for excess flood insurance is often driven by the need for coverage above the standard limit of $250,000 through NFIP. If your home or building costs more than $250,000 to replace or repair, the standard NFIP policy will not cover all of your needs. Excess flood limits vary based on your location, so be sure to call and speak to a trained agent.

Were You Aware That Homeowners Insurance Does Not Cover Floods?

According to The World Economic Forum, flooding has accounted for 43% of all natural disasters in the last 20 years.
Flooding has been such an immanent threat for so many, yet t
he National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has found that 33% of homeowners were unaware that flood damage was not covered by a standard homeowners policy. Even If you live in a high risk flood area, you may be required to have Flood Insurance. If you do not, we still might strongly recommend it.

The Government created the National Flood Insurance Program to help individuals protect against this kind of damage and to assist communities during time of flood. Make sure your home is covered from top to bottom if the worst should happen.
